Metrolina Church meets every Sunday at 1885 Odell School Road, Concord, NC at 10:30am. We are committed to helping meet the spiritual needs of the people living in our community, and to proclaiming the life-giving message of Jesus Christ to the world.

The idea to start a new church in this area began in the heart of Pastor Dean Burris and several friends as they observed the rapid growth of this area and the small number of churches present to minister to the needs of the growing population and became convinced a new church was needed. In April 2011 we began the process of launching this new endeavor. Securing a location to gather on Sundays was a top priority. The recent completion of new schools in the area provided great opportunities for a location. Initially it seemed that those doors would be closed but suddenly the doors of Harris Road Middle School flung open and a location was secured. Within days, an anonymous donor paid the entire first year rent for this first-class facility! God was clearly working, opening doors and making provision.

Next, we began meeting with a group of interested families and the church was born! We met together on Sunday evenings through May 2011 dreaming, planning, forming and teaching. During that time God continued to bring confirmation and provision. Along with the numerous strongly committed families, God provided children’s ministry resources, mobile storage, a new video projector system, website creation, church incorporation and non-profit status, and a partnership with another local church, Venture Church. This partnership provided much needed resources, support, ideas and encouragement. On Sunday, June 12, 2011 Metrolina Church began meeting on Sunday mornings. During the next several weeks we worked to become familiar with our new facility and one another as we prepared for a public launch in late August. In June 2013 we moved locations to an office building in Moss Creek Commons at 9450 Moss Plantation Avenue, Concord. In August, 2017 we began meeting at the beautiful new Odell Elementary School on Odell School Road. We continue to serve our surrounding communities with the desire to bring the hope of faith in Christ Jesus to all our neighbors.
